I Care Community Connections is seeking compassionate, dependable, and motivated Psychosocial Rehabilitation Specialists (PSR) to join our growing behavioral health team.
The PSR Specialist works directly with clients to develop practical skills that support greater independence, improved daily functioning, and success at home and in the community.
This is a 1099 independent contractor opportunity offering the flexibility to create and manage your own schedule while providing meaningful, goal-directed behavioral health services.
Bilingual candidates are preferred but not required.

About The Position
Psychosocial Rehabilitation Specialists at I Care Community Connections provide structured, individualized, and goal-oriented services designed to help clients strengthen the skills needed for everyday life.
Services are based on each client’s individualized treatment plan and may focus on areas such as daily living skills, communication, social skills, coping strategies, problem-solving, organization, community integration, and independent functioning.
This position follows a hybrid and community-based service model. Services may be provided at the I Care Community Connections office, in approved community settings, and through other approved service delivery methods when appropriate and permitted.

Key Responsibilities
• Provide Psychosocial Rehabilitation services in accordance with each client’s individualized treatment plan and identified goals.
• Teach and reinforce practical skills that support improved daily functioning and greater independence.
• Assist clients with developing communication, social, coping, problem-solving, organizational, and daily living skills.
• Provide structured, goal-directed interventions based on each client’s documented behavioral health needs.
• Help clients identify and address barriers that interfere with successful functioning at home and in the community.
• Support clients in practicing and applying learned skills in real-life situations.
• Monitor client participation, response to interventions, progress toward goals, and barriers to improvement.
• Maintain accurate, timely, complete, and Medicaid-compliant service documentation.
• Complete progress notes and all required documentation within established timeframes.
• Ensure documentation accurately reflects the service provided, interventions used, client participation, progress toward treatment goals, and plans for continued services.
• Accurately document the date, duration, location, and other required details of each service provided.
• Coordinate appropriately with therapists, targeted case managers, supervisors, and other members of the client’s care team.
• Participate in required supervision, team meetings, training, and quality improvement activities.
• Maintain professional boundaries and protect client confidentiality.
• Follow all I Care Community Connections policies and procedures, Medicaid and payer requirements, ethical standards, and applicable federal and Florida laws and regulations.

Qualifications
Applicants must meet at least one of the following qualification pathways:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited college or university in psychology, social work, counseling, human services, behavioral health, rehabilitation, sociology, education, criminal justice, or another related human services field; OR
- Certified Behavioral Health Technician (CBHT); OR
- Certified Recovery Peer Specialist (CRPS); OR
- Certified Recovery Support Specialist (CRSS); OR
- Certified Psychiatric Rehabilitation Practitioner (CPRP); OR
- Another qualifying behavioral health credential that meets applicable Florida Medicaid and contracted health plan requirements for providing Psychosocial Rehabilitation services.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- Must be able to successfully pass and maintain a Florida Level 2 background screening.
- Must complete all required Medicaid, health plan, agency, and position-specific training before independently providing billable services.
- Must be able to understand and follow individualized treatment plans.
- Must be able to provide services that directly address documented treatment goals.
- Must be able to complete accurate, timely, and Medicaid-compliant progress notes and service documentation.
- Must have strong communication, organization, time-management, and interpersonal skills.
- Must be able to provide structured, goal-directed skill-building services rather than general companionship or informal support.
- Must be able to work independently while collaborating with therapists, targeted case managers, supervisors, and other members of the client’s care team.
- Must have reliable transportation and be willing to provide services in approved office and community-based settings.
- Must have reliable access to technology for documentation and communication.
- Experience in behavioral health, mental health, psychosocial rehabilitation, social services, human services, or community-based services is preferred.
- Bilingual candidates are preferred but not required.

Contractor Classification
This position is offered as a 1099 independent contractor opportunity. Contractors are responsible for managing their own schedules and professional obligations in accordance with the independent contractor agreement, applicable Medicaid and payer requirements, service standards, and agency policies.
